Yum Food Festival
This city centre festival was conceived, managed and delivered by Fred following a brief to deliver an International Food Festival.  Fred challenged the brief as key food trends were more focussed around local providence, home cooking and family events rather than international food.

Fred's proposal to deliver a broader city festival engaging local businesses, local chefs and local produce with its own unique brand was a huge hit. Yum is now a key event in the city calendar and attracts over 20,000 visitors, the festival is about to enter its third year.  Fred likes to think before we do - That’s how Yum was born!

Princes Quay Fashion Show
These events were part of a wider retail marketing strategy aimed at increasing footfall to Princes Quay Shopping Centre in Hull City Centre. Fred was focussed on supporting both big name brands and independent retailers through a highly targeted events schedule supported by advertising and direct mail activity. Seasonal fashion events were successful at engaging with both retailers and shoppers to highlight new trends and the latest fashions, proving a fantastic way to promote what's on offer within the centre whilst achieving significant footfall increases.

Hull Bid - Christmas 2010
A key part of great destination marketing is about creating experiences so when Fred was approached about reinventing Christmas we wanted to do something that the city could take ownership of whilst still having tradition at its heart.

The resulting Elf based campaign saw Fred creating a bespoke family of Elf Characters unique to the city who not only had their own viral game, facebook pages, personas, website and fan base but also invented National Elf Day!

Promenades Shopping
This key shopping centre in a coastal resort has been seeking a new profile and Fred has been working with them across all marketing activity to increase footfall. Celebrity based events drive huge increases in footfall to support new store openings and this event with Pop Idol's Gareth Gates was no exception as the centre was almost filled to capacity with new shoppers.

Vivergo Mardi Gras
Vivergo are an innovative national business and work as hard on their internal communications as they do their external.  Fred was tasked with creating a relaxed summer event for their team and families to celebrate the work done to date on site.  The result was a Mardis Gras themed family event which brought everyone in the team together on a sunny afternoon full of fun and team games. Fred works with many business on internal communications strategies and team events are just one small part of it.

Princes Quay Stavros Flatley
Tasked with developing an innovative profile-raising event for Mothers Day for a large shopping centre, Fred utilised a personal appearance from Stavros Flatley to secure both shopper interest and media coverage. The Britain's Got Talent duo proved very popular with shoppers in Hull, wowing crowds with amazing performances, signing autographs and posing for photos with fans, before crowning one lucky local Mum the winner of our 'Celebrating Mums' competition and presenting her with £500 worth of vouchers to spend at the shopping centre. The event was delivered as part of a wider campaign to support retailers and increase footfall.

Green Port Hull - Public Consultation
More than 400 people attended the Green Port Hull public consultation to find out more information about the planning submission for the proposed Siemens development. Fred arranged a mobile exhibition on a bus that visited several key residential locations close to the dock, as well as the city centre, to ensure as many people could view the plans as possible.  The bus was decked out with large scale plans, aerials, facts & stats and a fly thorough.  For the second Green Port Hull consultation running, we received 100% positive feedback from the public in their reponse towards the proposals.
